Between teenagers

Meaningful conversations between teenagers

A series for teens with teens

The Between Teenagers series was created with teenagers, for teenagers. Who better to address young people and talk about the topics that concern them?

5 young people who did not know each other were brought together to exchange, discuss, share life experiences and their vision of the world, and also offer each other advice. These are the moments of truth and sharing that you will find in this mini-series dealing with topics that concern them: stereotypes and prejudices, online safety, and desirable futures.

Discover their talks in those short videos and use the available materials for prompting further thoughts, alone or in group.

Let's tackle teenagers challenges

Teenagers face many challenges: understanding a new body, continuing to train and learn, making career choices, positioning themselves in relation to parents and friends… in a world that is changing rapidly: with innovative technologies that can have a positive impact on society, but also a negative one if they are poorly understood.

Our role is to help today's young people be best equipped to find their place, become aware of their potential, and become the responsible citizens that the world needs.

With this series, you will go through some of those key concepts:

  • media literacy,
  • digital citizenship,
  • critical thinking,
  • emotional analysis,
  • societal and ethical aspects, … and much more.

First, watch the videos

  • Prejudices and stereotypes: we all have prejudices and stereotypes (and even biases). The goal is not to eliminate them but to be aware of our own prejudices and biases (and other people’s ones), and to be mindful of our own reactions.
  • Stay safe online: Children are spending more and more time online, and need to be aware of their dangers. There can be different kinds of dangers, such as cyberbullying. According to UNICEF, “More than a third of young people in 30 countries report being cyberbullied, with 1 in 5 skipping school because of it”. This video shares the experience of teenagers, which can echo the experience of each of us, and prevent risks of the Internet.
  • My Futures: With this topic, we aim to support young adults in imagining their future life to fuel their decisions and actions today. It can help them to project themselves and be ambitious.

Then, explore the subjects

These videos are accompanied by activity sheets and a framing document for educators, to explore the subject in depth in class or in a workshop.
